Digital Jewelry

There are currently over 55 million iButtons roaming around the world, and over half of those are being worn by people. Here are some reasons you might soon want to wear a chip every day:

* Locked door access
* Computer log-on
* Coin purse
* Medical information
* Internet transactions
* Citizen credential (driver’s license, passport, etc.)

Try to bend the iButton: you can’t. Drop it on the floor. Step on it. Forget to take it off while you go swimming. No problem. The sturdy button signet has been wear-tested for 10-year durability and 1 million hot contacts to the Blue Dot receptor. While cards are fine for playing poker, they are not a safe place to keep a fragile chip that defines your digital identity.

The whole idea behind digital accessories is that you wear your credential on a carefully guarded accessory. You can choose a ring, key chain, wallet, metal card, watch - something you’ve spent your entire life practicing how not to lose. And thanks to a line of accessories made by Fossil, you can wear your iButton in style. You can even move your iButton from one accessory to another should you desire a change. Additional information for these accessories is available in the shopping cart. (Note: The iButtons in rings are permanently attached.)

Java ™ Ring

JavaTM-powered Ring
The Java-powered Ring is a special version of the Digital Decoder Ring that runs Java Card 2.0, enabling multiple applications to reside in a single iButton. Dynamic objects, large stacks, and garbage collection give the form exceptional functionality. Fast-write nonvolatile RAM lets applets be added or deleted on demand, giving you the ability to update. Services not even envisioned today can be added in the future by downloading applets. With RAM ranging from 6Kbytes to 134Kbytes, this Java computer can take on the more complex tasks envisioned for e-commerce, delivering end-to-end connectivity.
Java-powered iButton included.
Note: You must know your ring size to order. You cannot re-size the ring.
